We have been closely monitoring COVID-19 updates and adhering to the guidelines that are set by the National Health Organization and WHO. Following Government directions we are preparing to safely reopen and accept guests with thorough precautionary standards set in place, to ensure a safe, healthy and welcoming environment!
Cleanliness and hygiene standards at our property are of high importance and we have implemented additional measures that meet the latest guidelines on hygiene and cleaning, to ensure the safety of our guests and staff. We are using cleaning products and protocols that are effective against viruses. We have gone through the appropriate training, so as to be able to respond to the new challenges posed by COVID-19.
Public areas: Anyone with a fever or symptoms of COVID-19 must inform the staff immediately and will not be permitted to use the hotel’s public areas. We perform cleaning and disinfection and have adopted additional measures; hand sanitizers have been placed at all public areas and staff facilities and designated signage will be notifying guests of keeping social distance, wearing masks (optional) and sanitizing hands.
Rooms: According to the new Health & Safety protocols, our previous policy of daily cleaning is no longer permitted. In view of that, we now clean each room and change sheets/towels after each third day of your staying. If, however, you need cleaning or changing of sheets/towels sooner than that, let us know. Tea & coffee making equipment has been removed from the rooms. Check-in time is now at 15:00; check-out at 11:00. Prevention protocols are followed to clean the rooms with particular attention paid to frequently touched surfaces. A rigorous cleaning is performed after each guest departure and before the next arrival.
Staff: Temperature screening of all staff members, in each shift before entering the property. In the spaces where the staff is working we are increasing the frequency of cleaning and focusing on frequently touched surfaces. We ensure that all Food Safety Policies are followed, with frequent cleaning and disinfection of the kitchen and other food preparation areas and surfaces.
Restaurant: We ensure that all Food Safety Policies are followed, with frequent cleaning and disinfection of the kitchen and other food preparation areas and surfaces.
At Nicolas Taverna, our restaurant, the outdoor seating capacity will be limited to no more than 6 people per table with a seating to provide a 1.70 meters distance between tables and in general adhere with all guidelines and protocols. We use disposable tablecloths and individual packets of salt and pepper.
